Day 121 - To The Garden, Batman!
May. 1st, 2010 12:10 pmWell, my plan to sleep the whole weekend was foiled by my stupid internal clock. I woke up at the time I always get up for work, even though I'd turned off the alarm. I tried to go back to sleep to no avail. Boo.
But now that the dreaded rush is over, it's time to catch up on all the stuff I've let slide. I have mountains of paperwork to sort through and file. And the backyard. Once again I have a pride or three of dandelions menacing the rest of the plants. You know, until I moved in here I had no idea dandelions grew so tall.
Anyway, today I bought one of those metal weed things. Part of my problem is that my back is not very good, so I can only weed for about half an hour before I'm in immense pain. Since this thing is supposed to pull the weed without you bending your back, I'm hoping it will help. We'll see how it goes.
I found it amusing though, that the picture it came with has the person weeding one dandelion who is helpfully growing nice and straight and tiny. I guess in the garden of whoever made this product, weeds grow by their lonesome, never congregating into packs of marauding ne'er-do-wells that lurk in the back furrows beating up the other plants for their fertilizer.
