Day 34 - I Owe! I Owe!

I probably haven't talked about this here before but my boss has been promising to retire for the last several years. Technically, I am supposed to be taking over, but considering what she pays me, I don't know what she expects me to take over with. I never really took it seriously because in the two years since we broached the subject, she never brought up any numbers or whatever.

So, it seems since I kinda was all meh about her offer, she's scrambling to find someway of enabling me to buy her business. I basically told her she should probably have someone else in the wings to sell to because I wasn't at all confident that it was a workable deal. We'll see how it develops. I'm tempted to suggest me going to work for someone that would actually pay me a decent wage. Then I'd have no problem affording whatever.
