Woke up just before the alarm went off at 8am. Again it is sweltering. Sigh. I'm dripping with sweat and I haven't done anything yet. I hate that >_<

Was supposed to actually go to Portobello Road and Sinister London today. But Viccy changed her mind about Portobello and I decided that I'd be too wiped to handle an evening tour.

Sounded like it would have been interesting though. The seamy side of London's history. I think Viccy's glad not to be going. She's afraid of Jack the Ripper :)

The day continues...

WB

Waiting for Viccy to wake up. I guess we'll be going out for breakfast since the complimentary breakfast stops at 9:30am. It's now 8:45am and Viccy shows no signs of waking :)

Viccy didn't waken until 10am. She showered then I showered. By the time I got dressed, I was ready for another shower. Have I mentioned that it's HOT! >__<

Finally got on our way. Stopped at the internet cafe. Checked my bank account. Was surprised to see I still had money there. Of course I haven't paid any of my bills yet :)

We're now sitting in Garfunkel's. Seems like a really nice restaurant. Have ordered a ceasar salad and a mixed grill. Viccy keeps asking where's Paul. Will throw a crouton at her in a moment :)

The salad was pretty good. I liked that the lettuce was actually in bite sized pieces. The mixed grill was not at all what I expected. Looks more like it's been deep fried. Yuck. Will have to have dessert to make up for the disappointment.

Bleh. Dessert was not as chocolately as it looked in the picture. Damn false advertising. Also, it had chocolate covered RAISINS!!! Why in the name of all that's HOLY would you want to profane the sacred food of the Gods by desecrating it with raisins?!!? EWWWW...

After leaving Garfunkels. we took the tube from Paddington to the Nottinghill (reminds me of Julia Roberts) station, then switched from the Circle Line to the District Line so we could take the tube to Oxford Circus. Again with the false advertising. There was NO circus there. Bummer :)

From there we walked to Hamleys. GOOD GODS! Is everything in London huge??? The toy store is six floors of junk. Lots of kids with their parents. There was a cute looking store employee out front with bubble making guns. I thought it was a novel way to draw people's attention to the store front.

I bought another Quidditch frog. I've decided to call them Sanape, Henry and Trevor. Shoot me now for I am insane. But eh, they're cute.

After Hamleys, we got back on the tube to go home. Of course we stopped and bought some more bottled water. I swear if you want to make money in London go into the bottled water business. I think between us we go through about six litres a day. That's about gallon and a half for those who are still Imperial.

It's now 4:30pm. Viccy is sleeping. I'm sleepy too but I trying not to since I'll wake up at some ridiculous hour if I do. Yawwwn. Will read the book I bought about Merlin.

Wah! Ended up falling asleep. Damn it. Went to Mimos again for dinner. Had the chicken supreme this time and it WAS supreme. Excellent! Left a nice tip in appreciation.

Came back to the hotel and whined about the heat. Yay.
