I hate her! I hate her! I hate her! >_<
Remember how yesterday how I was babbling about the progress I was making on this client and yada yada. Got a call this morning from Revenue Canada, the equivalent of the IRS for those of you who live in the States. Anyway, this other client's file has been sent to collections!
ACK! So I go look and ACK ACK there's a balance owing for 2000 AND 2001. AND the amount for this year has not yet been calculated and it was due waaaaaaay back in April. SO of course it now all falls in my lap to deal with.
GRRRRR! I feel bad for the poor client. I mean... *I* knew the file was overdue BUT I have no authority to say anything because I'm just the grunt worker. If it had been me, I'd have recomended that he made payments way back when the things were first filed.
The government just wants money. They don't care how long you take to pay. In fact, they're happier the longer you take! It means more interest for them. If that guy had been making payments he'd have had it paid off by now. But because she never really pushed for it now he's got the wolves after him.
I think I'll remind her of this the next time she says she's never been late on anything that would cause penalties. Yeah right.
