There's A Tear In My Beer

wolfsbrideWent to a concert tonight. The daughter of one of our clients is trying to break into the music business and since the tickets were cheap, I figured eh, a night out.
It was a decent size crowd for unknown amateur, about two hundred or two hundred and fifty people I would say. She has a pretty good voice, and apparently she's studying with the same person that coached Sheryl Crow so I guess she'll do well.
Hopefully, she'll be able to get a new band as she goes on though. I'm not sure if it was a case of them not having enough time to rehearse together or what, but the band was annoying. One, because they played so loudly, at times they drowned her out and two, because I think musically she'd have done better to just have either no instruments or just the string ones. Having both guitars and drums did not fit the kind of songs she was singing.
We'll have to see what comes of it.
