Day 317 - In this Day and Age When...
Nov. 17th, 2011 04:56 pmWe can put a man on the moon and make a computer that will fit in the palm of your hand and make a bomb that will destroy people but not buildings... you mean to tell me we can't find a better way to find out what's going on in someone's tummy than a STOOL SAMPLE????
A couple of weeks ago, I took ma to the memory doctor and in the course of ruling things out he decided that it would be good to check her innards. Fine. So he gives me this test. I'm supposed to get her to provide three samples.
HAHAHAHHA! Yeah whatever. Considering the fact that I can't get her to tell me what she's eaten five seconds after she's eaten it, it's pretty unrealistic to expect her to be able to remember to tell me a) whenever she's going to the bathroom and b) when she's going to number one as opposed to number two. And then to expect it three days in a row??? Short of standing at the bathroom door twenty four hours a day, I don't see how that's going to work.
So yesterday, I had to take her to her GP and he suggested something called the FIT test which you only need to do once. It costs 35.00 naturally but hopefully the fact that I only need to catch her once will aid in the quest.
Sheesh.
