Day 186 - Well, That Was A Waste Of Time

wolfsbrideRemember way back in February or something - am too lazy to go look for the actual post - my boss and I went to the bank to see about a loan. Har har. What we ended up talking about was a consolidation loan, which in theory is a good thing, since it puts all you debts together so you're only making one payment to one person. Only as banks are wont to do, in order to get a loan, you have to basically NOT NEED A LOAN. I mean, yeah, I see their point but it's seems totally useless to me.
Anyway, so we got all this paperwork going and whatever and they took my info and such. Today, I got a call from a nice lady call Corrine. Apparently, this particular loan thing, only consolidates debt you have with their bank. So what it boils down to is they'll pay off my credit card. Whoo hoo, right. Yeah, well the stupid thing is, my credit card is a fairly low interest one so the payment I'd be making on the loan would be the same as the payment that I'd make on my credit card anyway.
One thing is clear to me. The person we went to see obviously did not have any CLUE what this loan was about because at no time did he say that it only resolves internal debt issues. That would have been useful to know before hand. Oh well. I billed the time to her anyway so whatever.
