Day Seven - Saturday... A day of rest
Aug. 9th, 2003 09:52 pmActually slept not too badly considering the heat. Went down for breakfast at 8:45am. We'll just be resting today. Thank the gods!
Have got back from breakfast. Viccy has gone back to sleep. I think I'll just read.
The day continues...
WB
Ended up falling asleep as well even though it was - is - will be - SO DAMN HOT! After I woke up, Viccy went down to the internet cafe while I read some more.
When Viccy returned, I showered and then we went to Mimos for dinner. Excellent Greek resturant. Should have gone there on the first day when the cute hotel guy recommened it.
I had lamb and chips with black forest cake for dessert. Was divine and the price was very reasonable. I really don't know why everyone kept harping on the price of food in London. So far it's been okay. Mebbe they ate at ritzier restuarants.
Bought MORE bottled water. So hot. So very hot. Washed my hair with the new shampoo and conditioner. Seems like it actually helped.
We watched a game show called the Vault. The contestants had to answer questions for which they got money. If they needed help they could ask a panel of five people would would bid on the answer. The contestant could negotiate the price of the bid. If they took a bid and the person they asked got the answer right they had to pay them the price of the bid out of their winnings but then they could continue on in the game.
There also had a panel of eight people waiting on the phones as well but they were totally useless. Didn't know squat. The winner for the night won 12 250 pounds and one of the panelists accumilated 2500 pounds. The host said that was the highest any panelist had ever got. The guy was really smart. Too bad he wasn't a contestant.
Oh, Viccy bought a couple cans of beer. One dark and one medium. We shared them so we could both taste what they were like. I liked the medium one better. Then we watched the Beach with Leo Di Craprio >__< I didn't think I'd like it but it wasn't TOTALLY crappy. Which isn't saying much.
Took forever to go to sleep as usual. Babbled a lot with Viccy about many things. It was odd. My top half wasn't too over heated but my knees were very sweaty. Stupid knees.
Forgot to take my meds today. Must remember to take them in the morning. My health seems to be okay even though the never ending heat is killing me. Stupid heat.
