Okay, so I thought I was done ranting. But apparently I am not. So here we go again.
Onto rant #2...

I was just sitting watching the warner bros hour. You know, bugs and the gang. Anyway, they showed the one with Taz.
To sum up... Bugs makes Taz a turkey made out of dynamite and serves it to him. It blows up inside him and his body expands to show that. After that he ends up with smoke pouring out of his mouth and he says sheepishly, "pardon."
IMAGINE MY SURPRISE.... When Taz DOES NOT blow up. He doesn't even get to SEE the damn turkey! The cartoon cut from Bugs making the turkey out of dynamite to Taz saying pardon. Like HUH?!?!?!?!
Being the swift brain that I am it took me one second to realize what had happened. I think it took me the second because I never in all MY WILDEST imaginings, would have thought they would CENSOR cartoons that have been around for more that 50 years.
WHO DECIDES THESE THINGS AND WHERE CAN I GO TO FIND THEM!?!?! I wanna feed them a dynamite turkey -_-
I mean where is this madness going to end???? I'm afraid to think about it actually. But it's sad. Pathetically so.
I mean I'm watching Yosimite Sam now and he doesn't swear. They've cut out all the rasenfrackens. The character is SUPPOSED to be a grumpy ass pirate for God's sake! I think I can safely say that pirates didn't go around censoring their speech patterns.
I'm actually amazed they still SHOW road runner cartoons since we all know what they're like. I will now have to stop watching Bugs and the others because as much as I love them, it's painful to watch them being degraded in this way.
Poor Mel Blanc & Chuck Jones must be rolling over in their graves.
WB *who will be sending away to ACME Industries for a DNA controlled guided missile so I can WHOOP somebody's ass* >_
