Day 64 - I R ANNOYED
Mar. 5th, 2011 03:00 pmI went to Micheal's to use my three coupons. Since the coupons were for only one item each, I decided to use them on three books since the yarn isn't all that expensive and the books are. My first annoyance was when I realized that I couldn't use all three coupons that day. Fine. I put back two of the books and took the third one to the cashier.
But wait. The coupon isn't any good on books the cashier says as she rings the book through. I just laughed at her. You'll have to void that then. I'm not paying thirty five dollars for one book; that's too expensive. So then I went back to get a large ball of yarn since I had come all the way and by Odin's beard! I wasn't gonna leave without using the damn coupon.
So now I have two coupons left. But I'm debating whether I'll even bother to use them. I mean, okay. I can understand limiting the coupon to one per item so you don't get people whittling the price of their item to nothing and I can understand saying the coupon isn't valid with other sale things for the same reason, but why I can't buy books with it???? And making me come back THREE SEPARATE TIMES FOR THREE COUPONS???? What does it matter if I spend the coupons all in one go???? You get the same money. I mean if I have to go three times for three coupons, the cost of going there doesn't make the coupons worth while. It's stupid.
The book thing really annoys me because now that I've bought my needle set... really the only other thing to buy besides yarn is pattern books and if they're not going to let me use coupons on books, I don't have any reason to go there anymore since I can get the same yarn as cheaply other places. And really there are lots of patterns on the internet that are free. So they've just lost themselves the money I would have spent on books even at 40 or 50 percent off.
Idiots.
