Kids are wonderful, but I like mine barbecued.

Well, today started out annoying but it ended rather nicely. Our cub program is finished for the summer. Because today was the last Tuesday, we thought we'd do something special, so we went down to a beach for a cookout. It was very windy and I was NOT a good scout as I did not bring a jacket with me. So much for always being prepared.

Anyway, we built a fire, roasted hot dogs, toasted marshmallows and made smores. The kids were well behaved, didn't set fire to themselves or anyone else, didn't poke each others eyes out with the skewers and didn't break any limbs. A good time was had by all.

Good way to end the day.
