Day 188 - My Name Must Be Jack

So not only do I groom my boss' dog and fix her computer and book her flights and her ferry rides and make her appointments and give her advice about electronics which she ignores... now I'm apparently her phone consultant as well. Today we went to Staples and she bought a blue tooth for her cell phone. After I made sure to tell her to ask them to check that it's compatible with her phone. It was a twenty dollar charge to activate it. That was too much. She refused the service.

So then when we got home. Suddenly the box is on my desk. Along with her phone. Okaaay. So I fiddled with it for a few minutes after charging it. The phone doesn't want to talk to the blue tooth. So I ask her for the phone's manual. She doesn't have it. It's something like 3 bucks to download a PDF copy from the net which is probably more like 5 bucks since that price is probably American. I'm sure she's not gonna pay for it and I'm not paying for it, so then I google her model of phone and blue tooth.

Ah. It seems this particular phone gives everyone trouble connecting to blue tooth. It SAYS it's compatible, but any compatibility it has must be very sketchy for everyone to have the same problem. After a couple more minutes of looking. I conclude that it's definitely a phone issue and I'm not going to get any where with it and I give her back the stuff and let her know my thoughts.

I put down twenty bucks on my time sheet. *shrug*
