Woke up at 8am. Didn't get Viccy out of bed until 8:30am. Didn't get my favourite breakfast because of it. They only had toast and orange juice left.
*grumble* I miss my pastries.
On the agenda for today is Shakespeare's Balls & the Tower of London.
The day continues...
WB
We caught the tube from Paddington to Westminster station and then walked to Shakespeare's Theatre. Walked around the exhibition and then took the tour. Our guide's name is Roger. He was knowlegeable as well as funny. Wonder if he's an actor here at the theatre.
The theatre is actually a replica of the old Globe that burned down. Phoo! Oh well. Put some money in the help rebuild the Globe fund since they're still working on it.
After that we walked and walked and walked and walked to the Tower Bridge. Very nice. Lovely view of the Thames. Was aphixiated by the pollution. Yay. -_-
Stopped for something to eat at the Tower Cafe. Was aphixiated by the cigarrette smoke. Gah. I wonder how many people die from cancer in London.
I sent Viccy on to the Tower since my feet can't take anymore walking. Am sitting in the cafe waiting for Viccy to return. Hope she has fun.
Okay, she's just got back. It's 4pm. Wow. She was gone for 2.5 hrs. Apparently there was lots of climbing and waiting in lines so is probably good that I didn't go. Asked her how it was.
She saw the Crown Jewels and they had a Armour and Weapons display. She was bummed that it was all behind glass but understandable I suppose.
Ooo... She bought a pin with the crest of the MacLeod clan. Did I mention my friend is insaney?
We're off to find the movie theatre. Supposed to be five minutes away from the Nottinghill station. Hah! Five minutes?? More like five seconds! Yay!
So we're finally going to see the Pirates of the Carribean. Viccy's been raving about it forever. Seven pounds to get in. Nice place. Is clean at least. Seats are comfortable.
Not very many people inside. Maybe 8 - 10 people. I wonder how long this movie has been out.
It started with 20 minutes of ads. Then it had 10 minutes of trailers. I hate that >__<.
Okay, in case there are still people out there that haven't seen the movie...
AVAST ME HEARTYS, THERE BE SPOILERS AHEAD!!! ARRRRH!!!

LOL! Loved the movie. Johnny Depp was great. I think Captain Jack Sparrow is the gayest pirate ever.
Orlando Bloom looked... different. Was expecting him to look like Legolas :)
He and Jack are SO doing it!!! If they're not, they should be :) I really liked Captain Barbosa as well. He was almost as campy as Johnny.
Also, the curse. Was cliched but nicely played out. Loved the skeleton special effects. Only a couple of blunders that bugged me. One minor, one major.
Minor characters that stole that show. Two clumsy guards and two clumsy pirates. They were cute.

**** END SPOILERS****
After the movie Viccy was all squeally about Orlando Bloom. Oh joy. Hopefully it will not last long.
We came back to Paddington and went to dinner at Mimos again. YAY Mimos!
Came home and watched Instinct with Anthony Hopkins and Cuba Gooding Jr. Wasn't a very good representation of psychiatry but Gooding and Hopkins performances were really great.
Off to bed now. It's finally cooler and we don't have to be up early.
