Day 17 - More Cartoon Talk

owarimasu mentioned GI Joe in the comments and lo! Today I happened to catch an episode on Nick. It was called the Games Master. And yes, you guess it, it was about some loony who, having become bored with playing games with his puppet/doll, decides to play out his game with humans instead. I dunno. I guess Joe was having a slow day.
It starred Flint, Lady J, Baroness and Cobra Commander. I guess they must pay soldiers a lot more than I thought because Flint has a verra nice pad. And I think this is the first time I've seen Lady J in street clothes. Baroness spent the whole episode in a bikini and still managed to be bad ass while doing so. You rock, lady!
However, Cobra Commander was a WHINING LITTLE TOADY!!! And if I recall correctly, he's ALWAYS A WHINING LITTLE TOADY! How he became commander I don't know. How he STAYS commander I don't know. Do they ever go into his back story?
Can someone who's seen all the episodes tell me if he gets better? Hopefully he doesn't get worse. Or maybe he gets over thrown. It seems to me Destro was always angling for his job. Kinda like Starscream and Megatron. Also, I vaguely remember watching a GI Joe movie where Serpentor becomes Cobra leader and Cobra gets turned into a giant snake. I think that's the only time I've felt sorry for him.
Speaking of Destro, is it just me or does it look like his head is made of metal instead of him just wearing a metal mask? It's a good thing he's part of Cobra. Would be hard to travel otherwise.
EDIT: What do you suppose Destro looks like under his mask? At the very least he's got to be pretty pasty unless he has some ultra secret tanning salon. Being a member of an apparently international evil organization must come with SOME perks after all.
