So having met with the client yesterday, we can now move forward with the input we've received and work on finalizing her year end information and then complete her tax return. In theory anyway. I barely got in the door at work before being assaulted by both my boss and my coworker with cries for help. I spend pretty much nearly all day running between the two of them helping solve their problems, which leaves me very little time to devote to my own work - finishing off the client's stuff.
Lo and behold, the end of the day arrives and my boss asks me if she can bill the client yet? I'm pretty sure I had that tone in my voice when I said she could do whatever she wanted to do since she was the boss but the woman's stuff was still on my desk. Then she asked me when I was going to be finished. In a way that indicated she wondered why I wasn't done yet. Like I've been wasting my time twiddling my thumbs.
I still had that tone when I said if people would stop asking me to do stuff every five minutes maybe I'd get finished.
