Or to rephrase Romans 6:23.... The wages of sin is death... but after taxes it's just a really tired feeling.

Did my mother's taxes tonight. She owes 8,300 dollars. Comes as quite a shock to someone who's never had to pay anything before. Accursed severance pay with absolutely no tax taken off. Gave her some options, but she's still freaking. Poor Ma.
